Woman Lake (11020100) is located in northern Cass County, about three miles west of Longville, Minnesota. The lake has a surface area of 5,496 acres and a maximum depth of 54 feet. The DNR has two concrete public accesses, one 4 miles west of Longville on City Rd 5 and a mile south on Township Road, another 6 miles west of Longville on City Rd 5.
Of the 43 different lake classes the DNR classifies Minnesota's lakes into based on physical and chemical characteristics, Woman Lake is classified in Lake Class 22. This class of lake has big, deep lakes with irregular shorelines and clear water.
Woman Lake is home to many species of fish and is a great place for fishing. Fish Woman Lake for black bullhead, black crappie, bluegill, bowfin (dogfish), brown bullhead, burbot, common shiner, greater redhorse, largemouth bass, northern pike, pumpkinseen, rock bass, smallmouth bass, sunfish, tullibee (cisco), walleye, white sucker, yellow bullhead, and yellow perch.

Woman Lake is part of the Woman Lake Chain, which consists of four lakes. Woman Lake is known for it's excellent water clarity, and fishermen often start fishing once the sun begins to set and the light-sensitive fish, like the walleye, are active. Many visitors enjoy canoeing out to Horseshoe Lake, located within Woman Lake, for camping or stargazing. There are plenty of activities to enjoy in the surrounding Woman Lake area, ranging from hiking, boating, and staying at one of the many nice resorts.
The Longville Area is a popular area that Woman Lake visitors enjoy venturing to. There are a handful of common attractions, including over 60 nearby lakes, that are well loved.
The Deep Portage Learning Center is located in Hackensack, Minnesota. There, visitors can explore wildlife, hiking trails, and ski trails. Tours of the woods and water, along with indoor and outdoor classes, are available.
There are two main trails that are used in the Longville Area. the Paul Bunyan Trail is a completed trail that runs 120 miles through Brainerd, Walker, and Bemidji. The Heartland state Trail is a 49 mile multiple use trail that extends from Cass Lake to Park Rapids. Both Trails are used for biking, walking, hiking, snowmobiling, and cross country skiing. The trails are also prime opportunities for birdwatching and nature tracking.
The Northern Lights Casino is another popular pick for tourists and locals. The Casino offers a variety of dining options, ongoing entertainment and events, gaming, and a hotel.

Woman Lake Lodge Resort is a veteran-owned business located on a northern section of Woman Lake. The Lodge was placed in Explore Minnesota's top ten best resorts in Minnesota in 2014. There are plenty of activities offered at the Lodge, ranging from fishing, swimming, boating, hiking, and relaxing. Daily activities are offered for children including birdhouse making, fishing in the resort pontoon, turtle races, tie-dying, sandcastle building contests, and lots more.

The Kee-Nee-Moo-Sha Resort is also located on a large penninsula of northern Woman Lake. The Resort is surrounded by over 100 acres of private forested land. The Resort was also featured in National Graphic Magazine. There are a wide variety of water activities available to enjoy, including the 200 foot sandy beach with a waterpark style waterslide, swimming raft, paddle boats, and free kayaks and canoes to use. Fishing is a very popular activity on Woman Lake, along with skiing, boating, and sailing. There is also a network of nature trails that guests are encouraged to explore. There are plenty of activities for kids too, ranging from arts and crafts to fun recreational beach games.
Kee-Nee-Moo-Sha Resort offers a wide variety of cabins: Classic Cabins, Newly Constructed Cabins, and Historic Log Lodges. Each cabin has a large deck, screened porches or patios, gass grills, and outdoor tables and lounge chairs.
